ALF 2025 invites us to explore ancestral memory, cultural resistance, and the futures African and diasporic writers are dreaming into being.
The African Literature Festival is a global, multi-city celebration of African storytelling through literature, film, performance, and dialogue. ALF 2025 will take place across five cities — Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Mexico City — between October and November 2025. It brings together writers, poets, translators, publishers, and literature lovers from Africa, the diaspora, and beyond.
Everyone is welcome — from students and academics to book lovers, creatives, and cultural enthusiasts. The festival features events for all ages, including youth programming, panel sessions, workshops, and community gatherings.
You can register online through our official website by selecting the city or cities you plan to attend. Some events are free, while others may require a ticket or RSVP due to limited space. Early registration is encouraged to secure your spot.
